GlobaTrac’s Trakdot Named a 2014 Silver Edison Award Winner, on April 29 in San Francisco for their luggage tracking device, Trakdot.
What they wanted
An uplift of the logo brand to version 2.0
It may take some brands sometimes up to 20 years to change their logo without changing their core identity, but pressured by an ever demanding digital and international audience, it only took 4 to Trakdot.
As a consequence, Trakdot team understood a logo had to be uplifted to a more minimal and memorable version to show the liveliness of the brand.
Packaging and Device design.
Finally the product design as the device itself needed to be updated to a smaller, compact version with a complete design
What they didn't want
A totally different look and feel design, something that would have totally discontinued the previous version of their branding.
A squary black design that would have made their device an invisible one.
